Dorsett Gold Coast

My family and I (kids 6,3 and 10 months) had an amazing one week stay at the Dorsett this week. This was our first family holiday as a party of 5 and it has set the bar high! Rooms were spacious, clean and just amazing. The hotel is just walking distance to pacific fair and Broadbeach strip and it is just the perfect location. I have to say our favourite spot was the pool. Thank you Dorsett we hope to see you very soon :)

Just returned from our stay at the Dorsett hotel. My family and I had a great experience here. Staff were very friendly and hard-working. We found the service to great- especially during peak season. We felt our needs were attended to and staff actually cared about us and providing us with a good experience. Loved the complimentary waters in the room, variety of amenities provided and were restocked regularly, big shower, and nice balcony view. The buffet breakfast was incredible! Good variety of items served. The pool/deck area is amazing, has a great view and atmosphere - yes it is quite busy and people do hog the lounge chairs, but this didn’t deter us from using it. Short distance to Pacific fair and Broadbeach main strip - the walk is really nice especially if you want to burn off the food you’ve just eaten. I’ve given Dorsett 5 stars because I truly had a great experience and it felt luxe, I would happily return here in future and recommend to others.

Rooms are very nice. Location is about as good as it can get. With the casino, pools and restaurants you could happily never leave the Star complex if you wanted. And it's an easy 5-10 min walk to downtown restaurants and the Pacific Fair mall. Highly recommend including the optional buffet breakfast. Also do yourself a favour and sign up to the star card when you arrive. It gives you a 10% discount at most places. Special shout out to Mei Wei dumplings for some of the best casual dining we had. Highly recommend. We'll definitely be coming back!

I loved the modern decor of this hotel - it was clean, pretty and stylish without being pretentious. I was also surprised that the place doesn't have a five star rating, because its worthy of that grade. Loved how the bathroom light at night is on a sensor and switches on a gentle night light when you go in. The soundproofing of the rooms was also excellent - I went during peak Christmas season and didn't hear a thing once I was in my room. Beds were so comfortable - best night's sleep Ive had in a hotel ever. And the location is a stone's throw away from restaurants, the beach, Pacific Fair. Will definitely be staying here when I return to the Coast.

Very good stay here. Staff were particularly excellent. Breakfast at the club lounge was very nice and a big shout out to the club lounge staff who helped us with some vegetarian options. Small issue with housekeeping was also dealt promptly and were offered complimentary items for our troubles. Overall great staff with the right attitude!

Worst value for money hotel ever stayed at. Balcony is minuscule and only one chair, couldn't fit another one even if you wanted to. Shower temp constantly changes. Stayed in panoramic room and got a view of the sports bar roof for casino. Tv not working and once fixed was told by maintenance man the storm has taken out antennae so won't work anyway. Offered free movies which are normally $18.00 each. I would expect at check-in to be informed of issues, not by the maintenance man. Stayed for anniversary and choose this hotel over many others available. Hope this review is read and taken seriously. Oh and can't get points on star membership card due to apparently not being linked to the casino. But everything is branded with The star ??
